A three generation family business.

For over 45 years, Marché Bonanza Lalumière has been offering its customers a wide selection of local and imported products of superior quality and at affordable prices!

1973

In May 1973, the name Bonanza appeared under the banner Les Marchés Publics Bonanza initially located on Pie-IX Boulevard in Montréal-Nord. This new concept was pioneered by Mr. Marcel Lalumière who strived to offer Montrealers an abundance of fruit and vegetables and to showcase a wide variety of local and imported products of superior quality.

The nineties

In the early 90’s, the Marchés Bonanza retailer reached eight grocery stores spread across the Greater Montreal area and Laval.

1997

The torch was passed to Mrs. Danièle Lalumière, daughter of the company founder. Since November 1997, the Bonanza Lalumière supermarket has focused its efforts on a single address, located in St-Leonard, which has since become a must-shop supermarket renowned for its unique character, abundant displays of affordable fruit and vegetables and a variety of competitively priced grocery products.

Today

Mrs. Lalumière, assisted by her husband and their children, continue the tradition as the third generation continues to push and evolve the market concept forward.
